Phase 2 of the collaboration with IVADO LABS and SCALE AI: Enhancing AI for electric vehicle fleets

Eight months after launching a pioneering collaboration with IVADO LABS and SCALE AI, global leaders in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), we are excited to announce the commencement of Phase 2 of our ambitious project. This phase aims to revolutionize the management of electric vehicle (EV) fleets in Canada.
During the first phase, our collaboration led to the development of an innovative machine learning algorithm specifically designed to predict the usage cycles of electric school buses. Buoyed by the success of this initial milestone, we are now set to extend the capabilities of this tool to other segments of electric vehicles.
Objectives and innovations of phase 2
Supported by Cléo, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, and funded by Scale AI, this new phase focuses on two main objectives:
- Modeling vehicle usage cycles: The algorithm will be applied across various segments of EV fleets to optimize distribution and charging management. The goal is to maximize operational efficiency by reducing downtime and improving resource utilization.
- Detecting charging anomalies: By identifying discrepancies and anomalies in charging cycles, we aim not only to enhance the reliability of EV fleets but also to improve the durability and longevity of batteries, which are crucial for fleet efficiency.
These technological advances are vital to support the rapidly growing EV market in Canada, especially in dense urban areas where the demand for sustainable and efficient mobility is most critical.
Impact and outlook
The project does more than just meet current needs; it also paves the way for future innovations in electric mobility. Our intelligent charging management platform continues to play a key role in the electric transition of fleet managers, providing them with state-of-the-art tools for optimal management.
By reinforcing our commitment to innovation in AI applied to sustainable mobility, Phase 2 not only promises to enhance existing services but also to unlock new opportunities for the future of electric transport in Canada. We remain dedicated to actively supporting our partners and clients as they transition to greener, more intelligent mobility solutions.
