
Cummins Announces the Retirement of Srikanth Padmanabhan After 34 Years
Columbus, Indiana – Cummins Inc. today announced the retirement of Srikanth Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and President – Operations, effective April 4. After 34 years of dedicated service, he leaves behind a lasting impact on the company and its future.
Srikanth joined Cummins in 1991, holding various roles in manufacturing and plant leadership across the U.S. and Mexico, before advancing into global leadership positions within Power Generation, Components, and Engine. His leadership has been instrumental in positioning Cummins as a leading powertrain supplier and a trusted partner in the energy transition.

As President of Cummins Emissions Solutions, Srikanth ensured compliance with stringent emissions regulations while expanding the business globally. As President of the Engine Business, he led Cummins through record-breaking revenues, key joint ventures, and significant product quality improvements. He was also pivotal in developing HELM™ fuel-agnostic platforms, advancing diesel efficiency and fuel diversity.
His vision in the energy transition was marked by strategic industry partnerships, shaping the future of the Engine Business. Srikanth has also been a champion for diversity and community engagement, serving on the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Transportation Research Institute, and the Cummins Foundation.
