Mike Ludwick appointed interim President and CEO of Bison Transport

Bison Transport has announced a significant transition in its executive leadership, effective June 1st. Mike Ludwick, a long-standing member of the Bison team since 1997, will step into the role of interim President and Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Rob Penner on May 31st.

Rob Penner, who began his career at Bison Transport in 1989, worked his way up from the cab of a highway tractor to the highest executive ranks. During his tenure, Penner guided the company through periods of unprecedented change and growth, including the successful transition of ownership from the Jessiman family to the Richardson family.

Don Streuber, Executive Chairman at Bison, expressed his gratitude towards Penner, stating, « On behalf of everyone in the Bison family, I thank Rob for his service and dedication to our business and for all he has done to help us become North America’s Trusted Supply Chain Solution. »

Looking forward, Mike Ludwick brings a wealth of experience from his recent role as Chief Administrative Officer and his current position as President of Bison Transport USA. Streuber highlighted Ludwick’s readiness for the role, remarking, « Mike is the right leader, at the right time for Bison Transport. Having worked closely with him throughout his career, I am confident in a smooth transition and continued success for Bison. »
