Thruway Authority Mourns Loss of Employee in Tragic Accident

Today, the Thruway Authority is in mourning following a tragic incident on I-90 near Henrietta, where one of our dedicated colleagues lost his life and another was seriously injured. The accident occurred while they were setting up a work zone and were struck by a tractor-trailer.

Frank G. Hoare, Esq., Executive Director of the Thruway Authority, expressed his deep sorrow over the incident: « Our maintenance employees are the heart and soul of this organization. Roadside workers risk their lives every day to ensure the safety of all drivers on the road. »

The New York State Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Details of the investigation remain limited, but authorities are working diligently to understand how this tragic event occurred.
