Lion Electric debuts revolutionary Lion8 tractor at ACT Expo

At the prestigious ACT Expo in Las Vegas, Lion Electric has taken a significant step forward in sustainable transport by unveiling its latest innovation, the all-electric Class 8 Lion8 tractor.

This new vehicle combines advanced technology with environmental sustainability, setting new standards in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

The Lion8 Tractor features a robust 6×4 axle configuration with dual 2-speed eAxles, optimizing power distribution and efficiency. The design includes a Lion-engineered cab-forward structure that enhances driver visibility and maneuverability, essential for modern freight transport.

Equipped with Lion’s Heavy-Duty battery packs, the Lion8 offers a battery capacity of up to 630 kWh, enabling a driving range of up to 275 miles (440 kilometers) on a single charge. Additionally, the tractor can be charged to 80% of its battery capacity in just about 1.5 hours at maximum power, maximizing uptime and productivity for fleet operators.

Une voiture grille un feu rouge à Las Vegas et fait neuf morts

Neuf personnes ont perdu la vie samedi à Las Vegas, dans l’ouest des États- Unis, dans un carambolage causé par un conducteur qui a grillé un feu rouge, entrant en collision avec cinq autres véhicules, a indiqué la police.

Une personne était en outre dans un état critique après cet accident dans la ville du Nevada aux nombreux casinos.

«Nous n’avons pas vu d’accident de la route aussi meurtrier dans le passé», a déclaré le porte-parole de la police Alexander Cuevas.

Vers 15h, un véhicule Dodge Challenger a grillé un feu rouge à un carrefour, roulant à «grande vitesse», a déclaré le porte-parole lors d’une conférence de presse.

Il a ensuite «percuté de nombreux véhicules, entraînant le chaos», a-t-il ajouté, précisant que l’accident avait impliqué six véhicules et 15 personnes.

Les occupants du véhicule fautif ont tous perdu la vie.
