Alexandria, VA – February 14, 2025 – The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has officially announced its first-ever TCA Elite Fleet certified carriers, recognizing top trucking companies that provide an exceptional work environment for drivers. Among the inaugural honorees, The Erb Group has been named a 2025 Best Place to Drive.
Developed in partnership with the University of Denver’s Transportation & Supply Chain Institute, this program highlights North American for-hire truckload carriers that stand out for competitive compensation, outstanding working conditions, and innovative driver-focused initiatives.
“We are honored to be part of the first group recognized in the inaugural TCA Elite Fleet Program. As a proud TCA member for over twenty-five years, we have greatly valued their leadership in education, benchmarking, and advocacy within our industry. Being acknowledged by the TCA for our ongoing dedication to our team and operational excellence is something we take immense pride in,”said Wendell Erb, Chief Executive Officer of The Erb Group.
Certified fleets were assessed based on safety, driver satisfaction, turnover rates, compensation, benefits, driver quality of life, company equipment, and operational efficiency. Driver and independent contractor surveys were also conducted to validate the results.
Along with The Erb Group, forty-seven additional carriershave earned the TCA Best Place to Drivecertification. TCA President Jim Wardexpressed his excitement for the program’s launch:
“We are incredibly proud to announce this first class of TCA Elite Fleets. These carriers went through a comprehensive and detailed application process, had their drivers surveyed for validation, and received top scores for their combination of driver compensation, benefits, engagement, satisfaction, training, support, company equipment, safety, and facilities. These forty-seven carriers are truly Elite Fleets, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to them. I look forward to recognizing and celebrating them next month in Phoenix.”
